The Southeast Little Britches Rodeo Association (SELBRA) is a sanctioned chapter of the National Little Britches Rodeo Association, the oldest youth rodeo association in the country. SELBRA is devoted to the promotion of junior rodeo and continued support and encouragement of the youth contestants throughout the Southeast region of the United States. Many of our members are from Florida and Georgia, but we welcome contestants from any state.
The NLBRA season begins in July after the National Finals from the previous season. The National Finals takes place in July at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, OK. To qualify for the NLBFR, a contestant must place in the top five (5) of an event at five (5) individual rodeos. Each contestant takes their top five (5) places for each event to the National Finals at which contestants compete for buckles, saddles, scholarships, and other awards.
During the SELBRA rodeos, contestants will compete for NLBRA points and their share of the Jackpot. 60% of each entry fee goes into the jackpot (ex: $10 entry fee = $6 in jackpot; $15 entry fee = $9 in jackpot). More information pertaining to entry fees can be found in the NLBRA Rulebook and our Ground Rules.
There are five divisions for Contestants ages 5-18 (Age is based on the Contestant's age as of July 10, 2017)
Little Wrangler Boys and Girls 5-8 years old
Junior Girls Girls Only 9-13 years old
